I’m an Associate Professor resp. Adjunct Lecturer in Cultural Theory and History (German PD) at the Humboldt University in Berlin and a Researcher at the Herzog August Library in Wolfenbüttel. I obtained my Habilitation at the Humboldt University in Berlin in Cultural Theory and History and my PhD at the Freie University Berlin and at the Université de Paris 8 in Philosophy (as Cotutelle de thèse). In 2016 I was an Acting Professor in History of Science at Regensburg University and in 2014 I was a Visiting Professor in the History Department at Mainz University. I held scholarships at the Chemical Heritage Foundation (now Science History Institute) in Philadelphia, at the Leibniz Institut für Europäische Geschichte in Mainz, at the Centre Marc Bloch and at the Humboldt University in Berlin. I’m currently working on a monograph about the history of knowledge of early modern alchemy. It will focus on the changes in the epistemic structures as well as on the material book culture of this field.
